Far from being an abstract concept in which an attempt is made to solve a problem through brainstorming , it is a proven methodology with very defined stages.

These stages or steps follow an established order and when the final point is reached, the need to return to one of the specific stages to resume the process will depend on the feedback given by the user.

There are five phases of a design thinking process:

Empathize.
Define the problem.
Come up with solutions.
Create a prototype.
Evaluation and testing of the prototype.
Let's see one by one what they consist of:

1.- Empathize
The design thinker who leads a new innovation process, as well as the rest of the team, must be highly empathetic people.

This will allow them to deeply understand the needs of the end user, to understand what objective they are trying to achieve.

And although empathy can be trained, it is something that is ingrained in our personality from childhood, so not everyone has that ability.

For this reason, this department needs to make a very careful selection of people who are truly empathetic, so that they can contribute their full potential during the development of the stages of this methodology.

It is essential to have the ability to put yourself in the shoes of t philippines phone code he end user and be able to understand their problems .

2.- Define the problem
After the first phase, you may have collected numerous problems; however, a good design thinker also has the ability to determine which of those problems that need a solution are the ones that represent a business opportunity .

Not all problems have to be of the same magnitude or have the same impact on the user experience.

A correct definition of these problems will be the key for the design thinker to properly develop this methodology and obtain a result that is truly innovative.

3.- Come up with solutions
Something we have overlooked and is really important is that the team of design thinkers has to be multidisciplinary, so that each person can contribute value from different perspectives.

The stage in which solutions are defined is the most crucial, and one in which the creative and empathetic minds of this department must be most efficient.

Perhaps some great ideas will come to light; it doesn't matter, the key is for the whole team to contribute their vision and together come up with a solution that opens up new business opportunities for the product or service being analyzed.

In fact, it is possible that a great idea may spark in the mind of another colleague as a result of some crazy suggestion, and he may propose it to the rest of the team.

And this is how the most innovative ideas that will solve the problems arise: as a team and from different perspectives.

The most important thing is that no team member feels intimidated by expressing their ideas – anything goes at this stage.
