The ideal candidate for the head of the Security Service is a person who previously worked in the Federal Protective Service or in the non-departmental security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Former operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Security Service, and the Federal Drug Control Service would be a good fit; they would be able to competently approach the issue of taking measures against theft and ensuring the protection of the company's commercial secrets. Former heads of departments or groups (i.e. mid-level managers) would be best suited to such tasks. For example, between a former employee of the criminal investigation department and the Economic Crimes Department, the latter would be preferable.
Budget allocation
It is clear that there is organize your finances with mint no direct income from the Security Service, its task is to prevent losses (potential ones; it is not a fact that they will actually appear). And yet there are three positions that you definitely should not save on when creating a security department. These are:
Salaries of employees. They should receive approximately the same amount as other employees. The amounts differ in different regions, but you should focus on the salaries in the security forces: for management - from 200 thousand rubles, and 50-120 thousand - for everyone else. The salaries of security service employees should not be less.
Organization of access to information systems. To analyze counterparties, special equipment is needed (like Kronus, Spark, etc.), the operation of which costs 100-300 thousand per year. Plus add here about 100 thousand rubles for the current expenses of the department annually.
Retraining of personnel. It is absolutely necessary to organize attendance of special courses. There, employees learn more about new types of threats and establish contacts with colleagues. This expense item will amount to approximately another 100 thousand rubles per year.
Thus, about 3 million rubles will be spent annually on an in-house security department. Someone will decide that it is cheaper to outsource, but what are the guarantees of the reliability of a third-party company? By the way, attempts to inflate the staff (in order to earn more) are not excluded.
Organizing business security is a rather complex task. Documentation, personnel, business processes, finances and many other areas require protection from threats. Moreover, we are talking about both legal and physical protection of the company and its employees.
The business security system must ensure the prevention of possible threats, the identification of existing dangers and the elimination of their consequences.
