The study investigated whether websites with few links can rank for commercial keywords.

A list of 200 commercial-type keywords was created , 9 inconsistent keywords were removed, and 9 keywords related to “Las Vegas” were added. Information was collected from the first 10 URLs of each organic search, resulting in 1,113 unique websites.

Four sources were used to analyze the link data for each website: Ahrefs, Moz, Majestic Historic and SEMRush, recording the highest number of unique links reported by any of these sources.
