More than 75% of digital transformation projects fail; check it out

Post by jisanislam53 »

Digital transformation has become a major priority for companies, which, faced with the pandemic, have been forced to accelerate this process of changing their mindset.

Maybe that's why 70% of Brazilian companies see digital transformation as a priority, according to a survey carried out by the FSB Research Institute .

But what really caught my attention in this study was that although they consider it important to begin this transformation,  only 35% of the leaders of these companies feel able to put it into practice .

And what has been sustaining this fear is the feeling of being unprepared to start a russia whatsapp number project, whether due to a lack of specific knowledge or qualified labor.

In fact, this scenario is understandable, since more than 75% of digital transformation projects fail, according to PWC.

Change of scenery
But it is possible to reverse this scenario of uncertainty by acting directly to prevent the errors that lead to these failures. I have listed the most common ones below:

Diffuse Objectives
It is essential that the project objectives are clear, as are the client 's needs .

Therefore, the first step of any project, which in the case of MATH TECH we apply our own methodology,  Full Disclosure DevOps , is to understand what value deliveries the company wants.

Furthermore, the collaboration of a Product Owner, who represents the contractor in the project, guarantees agility in decision-making  and ensures that objectives are not lost during the process.

Unrealistic expectations
Expectations regarding the project and also regarding deliveries need to be well aligned between the client and the service provider, avoiding wear and tear during the development process.

Prioritizing total transparency  between the parties involved, our methodology, even in the first stage of the project, ensures that if there are any unrealistic expectations, they are dissolved at this stage.

Poorly planned resources
Planning is one of the most important parts of a project. It is at this stage that the resources that will be used during the process are guaranteed.  A mistake at this stage, no matter how small, can compromise the entire result.

Therefore, development needs to be based on some principles such as: architecture prepared for scalability, application robustness guaranteed through testing and good security practices. All of these are respected within the   Full Disclosure DevOps methodology .

Lack of effective measurement and testing
Two fundamental points for the success of any project are:  well-defined metrics and application of tests. However, many failures occur because these items are not aligned from the planning stage.

In the  methodology applied by MATH TECH , test execution is widely applied and metrics are displayed on dashboards that make it easier for the client to monitor the progress of their project.

Scope that never stops growing
Another factor that contributes to errors in new technology development projects is the  continuous change in scope . This problem makes it difficult for the squad to align with the final objective.

Therefore, in the methodology we apply, the development of an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) ensures that the application can be put into production in the first version, allowing the client to make  changes to the scope without negative impacts on the project .

The application of agile methodologies, such as  Full Disclosure DevOps , developed by MATH TECH , is essential for software development that aims to mitigate errors.

This type of approach avoids cultural conflicts between the company and the service provider. In addition, it facilitates understanding of the responsibilities and performance of each team member.
