User experience is not worked on altruistically, it has a purpose. You want to get something, whether it's the user staying on your website, filling out a certain form or buying your products/services.
Every time users land on your website, they're having an experience. The quality of that experience has a significant impact on their opinion (do I like it?), their likelihood of reviewing you (do I tweet or talk about it?), and ultimately, conversions (will the user do what we want them to do?).

First, don’t confuse user experience (UX) with user interface (UI) . UI is the visual aesthetic, while UX is all about the user experience.
