Over the past four years, we have changed the name “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” to “Casa Verde e Amarela”. The renaming was part of the latest updates to the housing program, and brought with uk email lists some strategic changes to the project.
My Home, My Life (MCMV) Green and Yellow House (CVA)
Launched in 2009 by the Brazilian government with the aim of facilitating access to housing for low-income families. Divided into four income brackets (1, 1.5, 2 and 3), which define the amount of the subsidy and the type of financing possible. It offers different resources and interest rates for the purchase of new or used properties. Launched in 2020 as a replacement for MCMV, with the aim of expanding access to housing and promoting improvements in urban and rural areas. On June 13, 2023, the Senate Plenary approved Provisional Measure (MP) 1,162/2023, referring to the resumption of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida housing program to the detriment of the Casa Verde e Amarela program. With the proposals approved, the program will be regulated by the end of June. Therefore, the new rules should be gradually implemented over the course of the following month.

The bands are nothing more than different levels of monthly family income. Each band represents a spectrum of income that varies from the lowest, band 1, to the highest, band 3. These bands have also been updated. See:
