Just like Facebook, there's a lot going on with Instagram. We've seen a lot of changes and upgrades in the last year. They also predict that Instagram will focus more on video content in the future and not so much on photos. I told you what the future holds in the video Instagram Future 2021 on my Youtube channel.
Today, she will share 6 tips on how you can beat the Instagram algorithm and what affects Instagram performance.
What you see on your Instagram feed is influenced by 3 main factors:
1. Interest
Instagram shows you posts that it estimates and predicts you'll like. The algorithm determines this based on who you follow, who you like and comment on, which posts you save, etc.
That's why it's very important to first figure out what's important to your audience (what people are searching for most).
First, figure out who your target audience is ! Whether you're a beauty blogger, foodie, gardener, entrepreneur, or coach! Try to build a target group that will be interested in your content.
Test and regularly monitor your posts that had the biggest response! Which posts received the most likes or comments, saved posts, etc. This data can be a guideline for future posts.
Also, add #hashtags to your post that are relevant to your target audience and your industry.
Repeat the description of the post that your followers liked several times and don't forget to be interactive. So, reply to comments regularly.
Another important thing is your visuals . Ask yourself if your photos are appropriate for your topic and industry? Which posts don't get a lot of engagement? Do you post a lot of cute photos of your pets, but you design jewelry?
Monitor your statistics and analyze which posts your followers responded to the most. While photos that have a soul (people or animals) usually get a higher response, try to include your business as well.
To help you stay organized, you can make a posting plan. For example, what you will post on each day.
Example:
Monday: positive thought
Tuesday: a photo from the background of your business
Wednesday: Practical advice
Thursday: video on how to make....
And so on. And then every week the same thing, but with different content.

2. Frequency
The more you post, the more likely you are to be seen. Post at least once a day so you continue to appear in your followers' news feeds!
Get help with Creator Studio, which is part of the Facebook address mail lists by zip code business page. It allows you to schedule posts up to 6 months in advance. Learn more about Creator Studio HERE!
3. Relationship with the person
It means how close you are to followers with whom you have interacted a lot on Instagram in the past, such as by commenting on their posts or being tagged in photos together.
What is important for a better result?
Start interacting more with your followers by liking and following more of your followers and their posts!
Ask your followers a lot of questions through your posts and answer all the comments you get on your question!
Support your followers and actively engage in conversation with them through comments.
Include a CTA (Call to Action), for example, ask them to comment, share their thoughts, ask them questions through Story interactive stickers,...
Include emojis in your description. Emojis are a great way to build rapport with your audience! Since it can sometimes be hard to say what you really mean with text, emojis allow you to truly connect with your audience and let them understand how you feel!

4. Use different #hashtags
What are #hashtags ? In Slovenian, they are keywords. With #hashtags, we mark a word or phrase that represents categorization or. labeling. When followers write about a certain topic and mark a post with a certain #hashtag , the user can use this to see all posts marked with a certain #. We write them together with the word without a space to make it look like a link.
But what is important for the algorithm is not to always use the same hashtags. Add a variety of #hashtags , otherwise it will look like you are a bot, which means spam, and this in turn will result in lower reach.
Post your hashtags in the comments or in the description of the post. In principle, this does not affect the reach. My advice is that if you share the post on Facebook, add them in the comment, otherwise just below the post.
The maximum number of #hashtags under a post is 30, and each one brings 12.6% more reach.

5. Geotagging your favorite locations
The sad truth is that Instagram will show your post to more followers if you geotag a popular destination. Some of these include Santorini, Venice, Barcelona, and Paris; basically any location that attracts a lot of tourists or is trending.
So, if you want to gain more followers and engagement, an easy solution would be to visit and create content in super popular destinations. Some Instagrammers have done this with great success.
6. Interaction is KING
Interaction includes likes, comments, shares, clicks on posts, saved posts, many video views,...
The more interaction there is, the greater the reach we will achieve. That's why it's important to monitor your post statistics to see what posts are most interesting to your followers. This way you will know what posts to create.
It is also very important that you are interactive yourself. That is, that you also like and comment on others. Find Instagram profiles from your industry and interact with these followers through posts and like their photos. This way you will gain attention and if they like your profile, they will also start following you.
