A non-profit business association is a platform for companies that come together to support and promote their products and services and identify synergies between them to have a greater presence in the market.

Why is it important to create a business network?
In the business world, companies can join together to identify market needs and strategies, as well as work together on issues where they have difficulties.

In Mexico, for example, it could be human resources, suppliers, etc.

Basque companies in Mexico have a long tradition and culture.

Furthermore, Basque work and professionalism are highly respected.

In this country we have a large number of multinationals that are leaders in global markets:

BBVA.

Iberdrola.

SENER.

Idom.

Mondragon Group.

Ormazabal Group.

Arteche.

Gestamp.

These are some of the companies that act as tractors for SMEs that come to this country (Mexico).

What we do is meet and support companies with workshops and networking , as well as present their job offers.

In addition, we put them in contact with municipal, state and federal authorities for their implementations and projects.

What obligations do businesses participating in this business association project have?
You only have to pay the membership fee, since it is a voluntary association in which the members believe that through unity we can become stronger and have an image of cohesion in the country.

Should all companies be from the same sector or does the greatest contribution of value come from combining sectors?
The companies are from different sectors and that is the good thing because they complement each other.

It is much better this way, since the areas within the same organization also have to be diversified.

On the other hand, this strengthens us since we have major players in very different markets and we can work on research and development projects together or implement them together using the same logistics.

Are there any issues when some businesses are larger than others? How does brand clout play out in these types of partnerships?
No, there are no problems, each company knows its strengths and weaknesses very well, so it is quite the opposite.

If there is a brand that has more knowledge or contacts, they usually help those that are new to the market or are having more problems.

This type of association is based on respect and solidarity, otherwise it would have no reason to exist.

Is there a minimum and maximum number of participants?
No, it is completely open.

We do not believe that there should be limits, on the contrary, everyone who can contribute something to the rest is welcome.

In the case of Emprebask, how do you manage to coordinate company actions from the place of email database canada origin and from third countries?
We generally work with companies that are in Mexico, since they are the ones that need support.

In our place of origin they know that we exist but our interlocutors are here.

Occasionally, they visit us from their home countries when they travel to learn more about our mission and activities and to find out how we can be of service.

How do you coordinate actions with the chambers of commerce?
Emprebask has a close relationship with the Spanish Chamber, the European Chamber, the American Chamber and business associations in Mexico, the Catalan Club, UMEGAL, etc.

In the Basque Country we have signed several collaboration agreements, but I think we should work harder to strengthen this relationship for the good of all and to be able to identify specific projects.
