Post by Maksudasm »

What is it? URL is an Internet address assigned to a website, materials uploaded to the Web: documents, images and audio/video. It is assigned automatically, but it can be changed – made more readable, filled with keywords.

What are they? There are only two types of URLs – dynamic and static. The address formats are much more interesting. They can be Cyrillic, transliterated, abbreviated, etc. Each type has its own purpose.

What is URL
URL is an abbreviation for the English phrase Uniform Resource Locator, which literally means "Unified (standardized) resource pointer". In simple terms: URL is what you see in the browser line when you visit a website or Internet site.

The URL address is assigned not only to web resources, but also to various files uploaded to the Internet: documents, images, video/audio.

URL – what is it and where can I get it? – Let’s look at a specific example. The URL of a site looks like this:

https://www.ozon.ru/,

Where:

https:// is a protocol for transferring information data. This is a protected set of rules or agreements of the logical level interface, which means that an SSL certificate is installed on this site. The latter verifies the authenticity of the web resource and allows using a secure connection. If the site does not have this certificate, the unprotected http:// data transfer protocol is used;

www.ozon.ru is the domain name of the Internet resource. In the example under consideration, it is presented with www, since the web site is defined as the main mirror of the site.

To get the URL of a specific page, you need to add the path to this particular section of the site to the unified site index. For example:

https://www.ozon.ru/brand/;

https://www.ozon.ru/category/zhenskaya-odezhda-7501/.

The URL of the web resource is always visible in the browser line:
